Elementary VAPA

TVUSD's Elementary VAPA Program serves all students in grades 1-5 at all TVUSD elementary schools. The Elementary VAPA Team is made up of music, visual arts, media arts, dance and theater-certificated teachers, along with visual arts educational assistants. Students will receive instruction in 9-week rotations throughout the year, attending classes once a week for 45 minutes.  Also, beginning with the 2024-25 school year, Elementary VAPA partners with the Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) to offer additional arts experiences within the after-school BASES program.   Arts instruction for BASES students is typically 30 - 40 minutes, twice a week by grade levels. (If your child attends BASES, the VAPA classes will always be offered as one of their activity choices.  Please see your site lead for more information.)
