The Student Support Services division of TVUSD is committed to supporting and elevating all students, staff, and families by empowering everyone to reach their full potential. SSS houses the Special Education Department (SpEd) and Student Welfare and Success Department (SWS).

The Special Education team maintains a focus on inclusion and access for all students. The department includes Program Specialists, School Psychologists, Behavorial Health, Autism, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Workability, Adapted P.E., LCAP Supplemental Support Specialists, Speech and Language Pathologists, staff for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and our Preschools.

Student Welfare & Success

The Student Welfare & Success Department, formerly known as Child Welfare and Attendance, is a specialized student support service that covers compliance with compulsory education laws, student admission and enrollment procedures, student discipline procedures, transfers to alternative programs, and school climate and safety. Child welfare and attendance combines the knowledge and skill of counseling with knowledge of education and the law to resolve complicated situations involving school choice, student discipline, student and campus safety, Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), and programs for high-risk youth.
