There are 24 more school days as of Monday! Yikes the year has gone sooo fast!!! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT MAY 17 IS THE LAST DAY TO TURN IN ABSENT WORK. IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE AN F IN CLASS PLEASE COME MEET WITH ME AT CAT30 ANY DAY THIS WEEK SO WE CAN DISCUSS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO RAISE YOUR GRADE!!!!

 

Monday:

Freshmen-

Today we are taking a quiz on chapter 12, Independently reading chapter 13 and writing a letter of appreciation to our favorite teachers for Teacher Appreciation week!

Sophomores-

Interstellar movie - to connect to our synthesis theme of blending fiction and non-fiction genres to make a point about what social issues. 

 

Tuesday:

Freshmen-

We will read over Jim Crow laws, and watch a short video about how they were developed. We will also see a short video about how Mexican-Americans were treated during the depression and discuss this together and discuss in class in comparison to Jim Crow. Finally, we are going over our chapter 12 quiz.

Sophomores-

 Interstellar & notes

 

Wednesday:

Freshmen- We will  read and discuss chapter 14 and 15 together in class and answer questions for chapter 15. 

Sophomores- 

Interstellar and notes

 

Thursday

Freshmen - 

Finish chapter 15 reading and Independent Read chapter 6. Questions due tomorrow!

Sophomores -

Finish Interstellar and answer questions on plot, foreshadowing, propaganda, issues regarding the environment and technological advances, as well as our human limitations vs technological limitations.

 

Friday - All periods have a quiz today!
