Virtual TMS Book Fairs Now Open

October 19-30

TMS Library staff is excited to offer you a new online program believed to help us further our mission of making books accessible to every reader, while helping to raise funds for our library!  We are hosting two Virtual Book Fairs; one with Scholastic and the other with Junior Library Guild.  Both vendors offer noteworthy books for our students and families to purchase for their own home libraries.  Shop one or both book fairs.

Unlike the traditional in-school book fair fundraisers usually held at TMS, these are 100% online where you can shop from the convenience of home by clicking on the icons below! Here are a few quick notes:

JLG@home Book Fairs

• JLG was established in 1929 with the mission to put the right book in the hands of a young reader at the right time to establish a life-long love of reading. Eleanor Roosevelt was a founding JLG Editorial Board member!
• JLG’s editors review thousands of children’s and young adult books each year and pick only the top 3% for their collection, which means the books in this fair are the best of the best in children’s literature.
• Books are shipped directly to the students’ homes.  Free shipping with orders of $30 or a flat rate of $4.99.
• These books are first-edition, library-quality and most are hard-cover. Prices range from $5-$20, with the average price at $9.99.

Scholastic Book Fairs

Scholastic was established in 1920.
• Scholastic offers a wide-variety of books (hardcover and paperback), toys, games, and other miscellaneous little trinkets (erasers, pens, markers, pencils, etc.).
• Books are shipped directly to the students’ homes.  Free shipping on book only orders of $25.
