    In accordance with Board Policy 5116.1, the Temecula Valley Unified School District accepted 2019/20 Open Enrollment Intradistrict Transfer Requests to a different school, for students who live within TVUSD at the beginning of the school year, from October 16, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. to January 31, 2019 at midnight. ​ Requests submitted during this priority consideration window received equal consideration, regardless of the date submitted within the window, and responses were sent by the end of May 2019.

    All Intradistrict Transfer Requests submitted from February 1 to August 28, 2019  will be placed on a Wait List, in the order they are received. Parents/guardians will NOT receive a response, unless space becomes available for the transfer to be approved from the Wait List. 


     

    DO NOT SUBMIT IF:

    ♦ You are attending your school of residence and move to another TVUSD school's boundary.  Please contact your current school instead - if they are on break, please contact them upon their return.           (If you are scheduled to attend your school of residence, and move to another TVUSD school's boundary before attending, submit your transfer request via the link below.)

    ♦ Your child is already on an approved Intradistrict Transfer to the school you are requesting (Click here to read FAQ #4)

    ♦ You are requesting your school of residence (Click here to read FAQ #8)

    ♦ Your child will be a TK student for 2019/20  (Not available for TK students - See Transfers HOME PAGE for more information)

     

    WARNING:

    • Transferring your child to a different school may result in your child matriculating to a different middle or high school than his or her peers
    • You may NOT receive a response in time for cheerleading or sports try-outs, early course selections, early BASES enrollment, or other programs/activities
    • We will NOT have status updates until responses are sent, which is by the end of May for requests submitted within the Open Enrollment window, or until you are contacted for requests submitted to the Wait List

2019/20 Timeline for Submissions & Responses - Requests to a Different School within TVUSD

    OPEN ENROLLMENT for new Intradistrict Transfer Requests to a different school (within the Temecula District).  All transfer requests received during the Open Enrollment window receive equal priority consideration regardless of date received within the window.  

    Space availability at the school, grade and/or program is the major determining factor for approval.

    January 31, 2019 at midnight – FINAL closing date/time for Open Enrollment transfer request priority consideration.    In order to staff our schools, we are unable to receive priority consideration requests after this date (no exceptions).

    By May 31, 2019Notifications will be sent via email to parents​/guardians​ who submitted an Intradistrict Transfer Request to a different school during the Open Enrollment period.

    WAIT LIST for new Intradistrict Transfer Requests for the 2019/20 school year.

    All transfer requests received AFTER Open Enrollment, and up to two weeks after the start of the school year, will be placed on a Wait List in the order they are received.

    Date received and space availability at the school, grade and/or program are the major determining factors for approval.

    Parents will NOT receive a response unless space becomes available for the transfer request to be approved from the Wait List.  You should plan on attending your school of residence or previously-approved school of attendance unless you are notified via email or telephone that we are able to approve your Wait List request, which could be up to two weeks after the start of school.

    If you are not contacted by September 2nd, we were unable to approve your transfer request from the Wait List, and we will no longer move students.
