Pesticide Notification Information
-
In 2000 The California Healthy Schools Act (HSA) was enacted. The Healthy Schools Act requires that all school districts provide parents, guardians, and staff annual written notification of expected pesticide use on school sites. The notification identifies the active ingredient(s) in the pesticide product that may be used. For further information on pesticides and their alternatives, please visit the California Department of Pesticide Regulation website by clicking here: http://www.cdpr.ca.gov.
Information on the pesticides authorized for use in the Temecula Valley Unified School District is available from the links below.
Parents, guardians, and staff may request to be notified 72 hours prior to pesticide application by way of the registry. Please note that TVUSD does not apply pesticide applications when students are present. All applications are scheduled during non-student days, breaks, holidays, and weekends. To sign up for the registry to receive pesticide notifications 72 hours prior to application at your child's school site, please submit the Pesticide Registry Form below.
If you have any questions, please submit an inquiry to the Operations Coordinator via Let's Talk for expedited assistance.
