Interdistrict Transfers Out of TVUSD

How to Submit Your Request:
Fill out ONE ONLINE REQUEST PER CHILD for the applicable year.
STEP ONE: After submitting your online request, click the link in the confirmation pop-up window and print the form.
STEP TWO: Submit the completed/printed form to the district you are requesting to attend, and then wait for a response.
Students from Murrieta and San Diego County Districts:
Beginning with the 2022–2023 school year, Interdistrict Transfer requests between TVUSD and the following districts are approved for the entire grade span (elementary, middle, or high school):

Murrieta Valley Unified School District

All school districts within San Diego County
Once approved, renewal requests are only required when students transition to:

Middle School (6th grade)

High School (9th grade)
Students from all other districts must continue to submit yearly renewal requests through 10th grade.
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- These transfers must be approved by both TVUSD AND the district you are requesting to attend.
- SUBMIT ONLY IF you will continue to live in TVUSD, and you wish to attend a different district (for example, Fallbrook or Hemet).
- DO NOT SUBMIT if you are moving to another district and will live there at the time of attendance. Please contact your current school to withdraw your student, and then enroll at your new district, instead.
- Your student does NOT have to be enrolled in TVUSD, in order to request a transfer to attend a different district.
- TVUSD reserves the right to limit the number of Interdistrict Transfer approvals OUT of the District, based on the percentage of average daily attendance.

Step 1:
Complete ONE online request per child for the school year you are requesting.
After clicking “Submit”, you will be directed to a printable form that must be filled out and signed.

Step 2:
Submit the completed and signed form(s) to the district you are requesting to attend.
