    Welcome to Temecula Valley Unified School District!

    I am honored and humbled to serve the Temecula Valley Unified School District as Superintendent.  I am blessed to have not only been an employee of the district for the past 24 years but also a parent whose children benefited immensely from our district's dedicated staff and programs. I am proud to continue supporting the very best schools, teachers, principals, support staff, students, and parents!  We truly have something special in Temecula Valley, and on behalf of our Governing Board and administrative staff, I thank you for your continued support and advocacy for our schools and students.
    The 2020-2021 school year will undoubtedly be one of the most difficult and unique in the history of public education.  In fact, since the pandemic began in March of 2020, the entire way of teaching and learning has been re-invented, and it continues to evolve and change as we react to new directives and guidelines.  As you know, our guiding principles for every decision since March have been:
    1. High-quality teaching and learning throughout the school year;
    2. Health, safety, and well-being of students and staff; and
    3. A sustainable model with the least amount of disruption.
    These principles will continue to guide our work, as we strive to ensure the top-notch programs and educational experiences our students deserve while also prioritizing the health and well-being of both students and staff.  We must also address equity and the racial injustices impacting education and our society as a whole.  We are therefore committed, from our Governing Board and administrators to our teachers, students, and support staff, to ensuring equity, access, and inclusion for ALL.
    While this year will provide challenges, we will also have unique opportunities to create and encourage learning in an ever-changing world.  I look forward to working alongside you in this journey as we continue to serve the students, staff, and community of TVUSD.
