I have been a Counselor serving students, parents and staff at Margarita Middle School since 1998. Prior to that, I was a social studies and PE teacher for 11 years. I received my teaching credentials in history, social sciences and PE from UC Riverside and my Masters Degree and Pupil Personnel Services credentials from Azuza Pacific University. I have been coaching the Mustang Running Club and Cross Country Team here since 1999. When I am not at school, I enjoy endurance sports (Ironman triathlon, road and mountain biking, running, swimming) as well as snow sports, traveling and spending time with my puppies.
M.M.S. COUNSELING PROGRAM GOAL:
The goal of the MMS Counseling Program is to provide proactive, preventative, and intervention services to improve student academics, behavior, and attendance.
Hello Mustangs! It is my pleasure to be a part of this awesome learning community. I was born and raised in Hawaii. My wife and I have three rambunctious children and a demure cat. We enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, reading, playing board games, and just hanging out with one another. I attended the University of Hawaii, earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Guidance, and currently hold a Pupil Services Credential for the State of California. I have worked as a school counselor at middle schools and high schools in Hawaii and California with my most recent stint working in the Poway Unified School Districts. My hope as I work with students and families is to help our students achieve their personal, educational, and career goals. I look forward to collaborating with you.
