What is SADD?

SADD ~ Students Against Destructive Decisions.

CHS SADD began in October 2008 with the support of DCH Honda of Temecula. CHS SADD embraces the idea of students helping students make positive decisions about challenges in their everyday lives. All students are welcome in SADD meetings and activities regardless of what they may be struggling with in life. Everyone can use positive peer pressure!!

CHS SADD is a nationally recognized chapter of SADD NATIONAL having earned 2011 Advisor of the Year, 2012 Chapter of the Year, and 2013 Activity of the Year (2nd Place).

Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded.

Students confirm that positive peer pressure, role modeling and environmental strategies can prevent other destructive decisions and set a healthier, safer course for their lives. And that is why SADD has become a peer-to-peer education, prevention, and activism organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, teen violence, and teen suicide.

    SADD's mission:
To provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions.
