Dear Silverhawk Community, 

I am so happy to be a part of the BVMS team!  Bella Vista is a great school with wonderful students, incredible teachers and staff, and a caring and connected parent community. 

I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the BVMS students during these important middle school years.  I appreciate the challenges that these years can bring, but also am excited to watch the students transform from children to teenagers as they first enter and then leave our middle school gates; these are such exciting an important times both academically and socially.  I look forward to partnering with you during this important journey.

I am passionate about education and student success.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2003 and was thrilled to start my first teaching job at Bell Mountain Middle School that fall.  I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Administrative Credential in December of 2005.  Since then I have also had the opportunity to teach at the high school level, lead a Project Based Learning K-8 program, and work as an academic coach for teachers.  I started in TVUSD as an Assistant Principal at James L. Day Middle School in March of 2015.

In addition to supporting teachers and students, I also enjoy my role as mom and wife.  I have been married to my wonderful husband since July of 2004.  We have three children: Weston and Ella in high school (former BVMS Silverhawks) and Landon who is in middle school. 

This is going to be a great year and I am looking forward to getting to know the BVMS students!
