Hello everyone!

My name is Brittany Strosnider (Mrs. Stro) and I am an IB HL Literature and Pre-AP 10th grade teacher here at Great Oak High School.  I am thrilled to work at Great Oak--in fact, my husband graduated from here and my father-in-law has been teaching here since the school opened.  I remember going to Great Oak football and soccer games when I was in college and when I saw the famous Great Oak SPIRIT I knew I wanted to teach here.  I am so excited to get to learn alongside you this year.  Scroll down to learn more about me.

Education

I earned both my B.S. Ed in English Secondary Education with a minor in Psychology and my Master's in English Literature from Northern Arizona University.  Go Lumberjacks!

Interests/Hobbies

The first thing you'll learn about me is how much I love dogs.  I have a dog of my own, Layla, and she is a seven-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix.  One of my favorite things is when my students share stories, pictures, or videos of their own dogs or pets. 

When I'm not playing with my dog, you can find me in nature.  I love going on hikes, bike rides, camping trips, runs, swims, and everything in between! I have recently taken up surfing. 

And, of course, reading is an important part of my life.  There is nothing better than cuddling up with my pup, a good book, and a large bowl of popcorn!
