Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Raúl Miranda

Welcome to my site, My name is Raul Miranda and I am very excited and honored to work with you this school year. This is my 23rd year of teaching and I have enjoyed every single year. I started my career teaching at Temecula Valley High School and transferred to Great Oak High School the second year that it was opened. I feel very passionate about teaching and creating opportunities for all students. My goal is to encourage young people to create lifelong career goals that will make them happy and successful in life. I firmly believe that all students can learn and be successful if they are given the opportunity and provided with the teaching expectation they need to learn. I believe that life is a destiny that has many paths to achieve real success. It is my goal to help all students get involved with their learning and to teach young people to create their own path to success. I look forward to helping young people like you- Please do not hesitate to come by my classroom and ask me questions and/or share your concerns.

Personal comment: I am grateful for many things in life, especially my family, my wife and best friend Jackie, and our two incredible sons Rafael and Adrian. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my family. I love the ocean and the desert and enjoy being outdoors learning about the beauty within our planet. Some of my favorite activities are swimming, hiking, fishing, snorkeling, having fun on the beach, and listening to music. My favorite places are the island of Maui, Calafell, Espana, Mexico, and the Imperial Valley desert. I look forward to each moment in life and cherish mindfulness every day. I believe that life is very special and precious-Life should be about wanting what we have instead of having what we want. So let's all have a great academic school year! My personal Life quote- "Be mindful, Ambitious, and practice gratitude every day"

I love the following quote that a dear friend shared with me-

"Life is the childhood of our immortality".
