Hello Pumas!! Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

This is my 12th year as a Puma. I am excited to once again be teaching English 10, Yearbook and ASB Leadership, as well as advising the SADD chapter on campus. I truly enjoy working with and mentoring students, providing tools for their academic and personal success, and coaching them as they develop into effective leaders. This year is going to be phenomenal!

The Google Classroom will be a source of valuable assignment information and most assignment handouts will be available in pdf version here. In addition to the Google Classroom posts, Remind is a valuable tool used in my English 10 classes and BAND will be used for the Yearbook staff and Leadership classes. BAND will also be used for sending out ALL Activities and Counseling announcements, so be sure to sign up to stay informed!

Student academic success will occur with the completion of daily assignments and by achieving proficiency on all standards. Laziness, procrastination and apathy are potential road blocks to student success, but can be overcome with hard work and dedication. Life is busy and unexpected things happen, so it is imperative that students advocate for themselves and let me know of any struggles impeding their progress in my class. Email me with concerns, obtain a CAT 30 pass for in-school intervention or make-up, or make an appointment before school or after school. Be your best advocate!

As you continue your educational journey remember Alexander Graham Bell's words "Before anything else, preparation is the key to success."

I'm here to help you get prepared, so you each can achieve success this year! Again, it's going to be a phenomenal year! Welcome to Puma Nation, do all things with Puma PRIDE, remember there is "Strength in Numbers" and don't forget to Go Green!!
