Mrs. Borg
  • Welcome to my page for 7th grade science students! I have been teaching science to a variety of age groups for many years and enjoy my work very much. I am originally from Michigan and earned my Bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. I also began my first year teaching in Michigan but then moved to Tucson, AZ where I taught in an elementary classroom for 2 years. From there, I moved to the Los Angeles area where I used my teaching credentials in both Science and Language Arts for 9 years in a private school in Beverly Hills. I taught grades 3-8 at that school as a Science specialist and a middle school Language Arts teacher. During that time, I also worked on clearing my credential in California and earning a BCLAD from UCLA. More recently, I moved to Temecula in 2016. I began working at Gardner Middle School and finished my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University.

During my free time, I like to travel and spend time with my family. I have a daughter who goes to school at Red Hawk. I also enjoy doing yoga, reading, creating art, and many other things.

  • This year, TVUSD began a textbook adoption process for our Middle School Science courses.  Your student is enrolled in a class that will be using two different textbooks and sets of resources throughout this semester. The two publishing companies of the textbooks being considered are Discovery (August - October) and TCI (October - December).  These materials allow our teachers to utilize multimedia resources that are content-rich and aligned with our state’s Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).  The scope, sequence, and science frameworks will remain consistent with the other grade-level courses. Each unit taught will complement the strong instruction and successful learning outcomes that are already embedded in our TVUSD courses and classrooms.  We are excited about this opportunity for our students, teachers, and district and thank you for your support as we continue to embark on this journey.
