Mrs. Alforque

 A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF...

I grew up in Ventura County, California with my parents, older sister, and younger brother.  I finished my general education classes at Ventura College before transferring to a 4-year university.  I received my bachelor's degree from Chapman University and my teaching credential through National University.

Prior to coming to Temecula, my first teaching experience was 6th-8th grade physical education in Gardena, California from 1999 to 2002.  In my first year in Temecula, I taught 7th grade physical education at Vail Ranch Middle School for one year (2002-2003).  After that, I transferred over to help open Gardner Middle School in 2003-2004. I have been teaching physical education classes here ever since...

When I am not teaching, I enjoy walking, reading books, and spending time with my husband and two beautiful daughters.

The best way to contact me is via email at jalforque@tvusd.us. If you are a student, please be sure you tell me which PE period you are in when sending me a message.  If you are a parent, please let me know your child's name and PE period in your message.

What PE looks like in Mrs. Alforque's class...

I am not looking for the fastest runners or the best athletes.  I am here to teach you basic movement skills through a variety of games and activities.  I want to help build your fitness and health knowledge.  As you grow and get older, I hope the information you learn from me will help you build healthy fitness habits for life.

I am looking for you to always try your best every single day.  Not everyone will be at the same fitness level or know all the games and rules of a sport.  I want you to be comfortable learning at your level and pushing yourself to achieve and reach your fitness goals.

Our class is about communicating and collaborating in large groups, small groups, or with partners.

We will practice respecting ourselves, respecting others, and respecting our PE equipment, locker rooms, fields, and courts.  Please do your part by encouraging each other and helping make our PE class a fun and safe place to be.

IN OUR CLASS...

We are A TEAM

We are POSITIVE

We RESPECT each other

We TRY our best

We MAKE GOOD CHOICES

We are KIND

We are HONEST

We LISTEN to each other

We WORK HARD

We ENCOURAGE each other

We are ALL IMPORTANT

***What will you do today to be this kind of person? How will you use these skills outside of PE class to be a better person?***
