Degrees and Certifications:

  • My name is John Napier and I look forward to the challenge of working with parents to provide each child with the best learning experience possible.  I would like you to know the teacher you have entrusted your student to, both professionally and personally.  I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree and Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Arts Degree in teaching from Grand Canyon University, and my California Industrial Technology Certificate through California State University, Fresno. I have been teaching for over thirty years, including Language Arts 7, 8, GATE, and 11th grade American Literature. While teaching in Hemet, I developed several programs, including Television News Broadcasting and Video Production. I led the AACES Program, a school within a school, and was the Language Arts Department Chair.  I was honored to be selected as Teacher of the Year for Bella Vista Middle School in 2012.

My wife Monica is also an educator, currently teaching Music for the Hemet Unified School District. We have two daughters, Morgan, an elementary school teacher in the Sweetwater School District, and Chelsea, a teacher credential candidate.  My mission is to teach your student with the same care and respect I would teach my own children. My goal is to share my love of learning and communication with each and every student. I want to provide students with a safe place to learn, take risks, have fun, and gain confidence.

I see education as a team effort between parents, the student, and the teacher. I look forward to an exciting and productive year at Bella Vista. Together, we can provide your student with the best learning experience possible.
