Meet the Teacher

Ms. Erin Jereczek

Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Erin Jereczek

Hi!  My name is Erin Jereczek.  I will be teaching Biology, Earth/Space Science, and A.S.B. this year.

I have been teaching for 20 years; however, this is my first year teaching high school.

I am thrilled about the opportunity to teach the subjects I am most passionate about!  From a very young age, I was always interested in everything about the world around me.

I hope to share my enthusiasm with you and engage you in learning opportunities this year.  Obviously, this will not be a typical school year, but we will definitely make the most of it!

On a personal note, I live in Temecula with my fiance (Gregg), 16 year old son (Ryan), dog (Sammy), and 3 cats (Lola, Sally, and Marley), and a desert tortoise named Bert.

When I am not doing “teacher stuff” I love being outside; gardening, hiking, camping, reading, enjoying live music, and sitting on the beach.

My journey to becoming a teacher has not been easy!  I have had personal, emotional, physical, and educational setbacks.

Horrible teachers left emotional scars while the ones that were passionate, loving, and inspiring have gotten me to where I am today!

My high school days included some of the worst times of my life!  I struggled with focussing in class (ADD was not a diagnosis back then), I had social anxiety, depression, and little support at home.

It wasn’t until I graduated high school that I realized that I was just as worthy of a good education, respect, and a chance to make a future for myself.  It took a lot of hard work, resilience, and dedication!

I feel like many of my life experiences have led me to Rancho!  So excited to be here!
