Mrs. Dana Miller

Hello, my name is Dana Miller. I teach 4th grade at LaVorgna Elementary. This is a wonderful grade to teach since the students gain such confidence in their ability reading to learn, write and manipulate numbers of greater place value in math. I love being a part of giving them confidence in their own unique abilities, growth, choices and decision making.

My goal is that each one of my students not only grows academically, but in knowledge of how to be good to themselves and others. All of our brains and bodies work differently. We should all be accepted, encouraged and loved for who we are as individuals.

When I am not teaching I spend my time at home with my family. I am married to Tyler, he owns his own buisness in high end golf instruction. We have three girls, ages 15, 13, and 9. They keep us very busy participating in gymnastics, boxing and all three levels of schooling. I am also involved with the Down Syndrome community here in the area as a parent and an educator. I graduated from Concordia University at Irvine with a BA and then later with my MA in Administration. I began my teaching career in Orange County, CA working in Saddleback Valley Unified at a California Distinguished School for several years, then moved to Temecula Valley Unified in 2001. Teaching is my passion and truly a privilege.
