7th grade CAPS Field Trip to CSUSM
Our district has an exciting program called the C.A.P.S. program (College Admission Promise for Students). This program supports college readiness for students so that they are guaranteed admission to California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) after they graduate from a TVUSD high school. The program is based on an MOU Agreement between TVUSD and CSU San Marcos.
On April 10, 2020, we have the incredible opportunity to take our 7th grade class on a fieldtrip to CSUSM where they will tour the campus and learn more about the university system. Counselors will meet with 7th graders in February to share information about this field trip and give them a field trip permission form.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CHAPERONE ON FUTURE FIELD TRIPS? Contact Mr. Coloma, MMS Counselor.
To serve as a chaperone on the CAPS fieldtrip, parents will need to submit the following forms:
- Megan's Law Background Check Form: You must have a current Megan's Law Background Check on file with MMS. You are only required to complete the form once, you do not need to complete a form each school year.
- Volunteer Code of Conduct: You must have a current Code of Conduct form on file at MMS.
- TB Test: You must have a current TB test on file with the school site office. Have the clinic/physician complete the Adult Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment Questionnaire. TVUSD offers volunteer TB Test Clinics. Contact school for more information.
Once completed, please submit the forms to Mrs. Mena (Registrar) or Mr. Coloma (Counselor) at Margarita Middle School by February 3, 2020. Thank you for your interest and support
