    ANNOUNCEMENTS & INFORMATION

Over 50 Tardy Students Today! 178 this week!!!

School Starts at 8:55 am. The gates open at 8:40 am and we EXPECT all students to be in line at 8:55 am, ready to walk into classrooms with teachers. We have TOO MANY students arriving to school late. These students are starting their day behind and disrupting the learning environment for everyone. Please plan your morning routines to give your family enough time to get ready, have a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school well before the second bell rings at 8:55 am. It is our job as parents to teach our children the value of education and school. We are not doing that when we cannot ensure they are at school, on time, and ready to learn each and every day. Don’t be late!

Book Fair, VIP Lunch & Open House

Our Book Fair is now OPEN! We are open before/after school, during each student’s Library time and during VIP Lunch. Book Fair will NOT be open during Open House. Plan ahead if you would like your child to have the opportunity to shop for new literature and books at this year’s Book Fair!

Don’t forget to RSVP for VIP Lunch. We need an accurate accounting of how many VIPs to expect. You can RSVP at the following link:

    Cupcakes & Birthday Treats

Just a reminder, PES follows the TVUSD Healthy Wellness Guidelines. Cupcakes and other desserts DO NOT meet these guidelines and CANNOT be brought in for student birthdays or classroom celebrations. Please PLAN AHEAD and do not bring these items in to our school. There are plenty of healthy, sweet options that meet the guidelines. Please go online and check out the SMART SNACKS CALCULATOR to make sure what you would like to bring meets our guidelines. If you are at the store, cannot go online, and need a quick idea, Skinny Cow Ice Cream always seems to work! Thank you for your support with this.

As with the Session I, this club will be hosted by Mrs. Gradstein and Mrs. Eagleton and will provide students with fun and engaging opportunities to use their creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills. Students who participate will be given the chance to invent, build, make movies, and more.
