School Lunch Information

Our Nutrition Services Department is committed to supporting student health, well-being, and academic success. Our team of food and nutrition professionals supports lifelong healthy eating and fitness by providing nutritious, well-balanced meals every school day.

We’re proud to offer both breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students, ensuring every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive. All meals meet or exceed state and federal nutrition standards based on USDA Dietary Guidelines.

At our middle and high schools, students can also enjoy our a la carte program, which offers a selection of snacks and treats available for purchase to complement their meals.

Free & Reduced Price Meal Program

Although breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to all students, we encourage families to complete a Meal Application each school year if their student attends a qualifying school. Submitting an application can provide access to valuable additional benefits for those who meet eligibility requirements based on household income.

Qualified families may also receive:

  • Free or reduced-cost before and after school academic enrichment programs

  • Discounted internet services at home

  • Free or reduced public transportation fares

  • Discounted fees for AP (Advanced Placement) exams

  • College application fee waivers

Meal Applications are only accepted for families whose students attend one of the following schools:

  • Alamos Elementary

  • Abby Reinke Elementary

  • Helen Hunt Jackson Elementary

  • Summit Academy

  • Temecula Luiseno Elementary

  • Tony Tobin Elementary

  • Temecula Middle School

  • Vail Ranch Middle School

  • Great Oak High School

All other school sites operate under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and do not accept Meal Applications. Instead, families at CEP schools complete Alternate Income Forms through the District's annual family update and enrollment packet.
