It is an absolute pleasure to be part of the Ysabel Barnett team as your new Assistant Principal.  I have just completed my 22nd year as an educator and I am excited to continue my career as a Pioneer. My career in education began in the Los Angeles Unified School district over 20 years ago.  During that time, I spent 9 years out of the classroom as both a Literacy/Instructional Coach and Intervention Coordinator.  The rest of my experience has been in the classroom teaching 2nd through 5th grades.  As a coach, my focus was on early literacy and working with numeracy with our Kinder-2nd grade students.  I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.  

Last year was my first year working for Temecula Valley Unified and I absolutely love it.  I was fortunate enough to be in two amazing schools, working with an incredible staff and community as the Intervention Administrator for Susan LaVorgna and French Valley.  Like Mrs. Gradstein, I believe in an open-door policy and will make myself available to assist any way I can. I know there will be some challenges ahead this year and my hope is to bring my experience in collaboration and contribute to the already hard-working team that has been established.  I am extremely excited to be part of the Barnett team and can’t wait to meet all of you.
