Welcome to Astronomy! 

Astronomy is a fascinating area of science that has captivated human curiosity for centuries. In this class we will explore how we can measure sizes of and distances to astronomical objects, orbital motion, how objects in space interact through gravity with applications to the solar system and galaxy, and how light is characterized, measured, and used to learn about objects in the universe. This is a fun and engaging course that will require active participation in discovery activities throughout the year.
