Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Amy Orth
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live here in Temecula with my husband Mike. We have three grown children and a cat named Coco. My favorite hobbies are spending time with my family and reading. As you will see, I collect children’s books. I have a passion for them (my husband would call it an obsession)! I also enjoy seeing movies and going out to eat. My education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s Degree in Education. I have been in education for the last 35 years. I have been a classroom teacher first, in the Baldwin Park Unified School District teaching bilingual kindergarten and then in the Apple Valley Unified School District teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades as well as a K/1/2 combination class. I also spent 5 years working for the Riverside Unified School District as their Elementary Language Arts Specialist where I was responsible for developing and revising curriculum, creating assessments, and training Kindergarten through 6thgrade teachers in effective teaching practices. Fifteen years ago I made the decision to come back to the classroom (my true joy!) and I taught 7thand 8thgrade language arts and social studies at the Temecula Valley Charter School. I joined the Crowne Hill team as a kindergarten teacher when we opened 14 years ago and since then, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and K-1 combination classes. I love to teach and my greatest desire is that my students will love learning.
