Announcements

  • Empower Retirement and SchoolsFirst have been working together to make online enrollment available for employees looking to start a 403b or 457b with the FBC program. Starting today employees can go to  http://myfbcretirement.com/ to open a new account and start contributions online. They will need a code to open a new account and the codes are on the attached flyers. The codes will reset in June and then every 120 days after that.

Also starting today participants already enrolled in a plan with the FBC can change their contributions through the Empower website or the SchoolsFirst website. Both will have a 1 day reporting period to show on PlanVue.

I hope you are as excited as I am about these two additions and as always please feel free to refer employees to me with any questions they have.

    Thank You,

I have already loaded visits for the rest of 2019 and will be updating with our 2020 scheduled dates this week. If someone isn’t able to meet me on one of the regular days they also have the option of scheduling a Virtual Appointment with me as well.

National Benefit Services, LLC 403(b)

  • National Benefit Services, LLC 403(b)

We are pleased to announce the 403(b) Retirement Plan as an added benefit to our employees.  The 403(b) Retirement Plan acts very similar to a 401(k) Plan and provides several benefits, including:
    - Contributions to the plan are tax deductible meaning that you do not pay taxes on contributions made to the plan.  This also reduces income tax expenses and may very well reduce your tax bracket.  Taxes will be paid on the funds when taken from the account at retirement.
    - Loans or Hardship withdrawals can be taken from the account if certain circumstances are met.  This will slow the path to retirement but can provide financial relief in a time of need.
    - Contribution limits are much higher.
More information on 403(b) Plans can be found by following the link in the enclosed PDF.

We are excited to offer this valuable benefit to our employees, and encourage everyone to participate.  Once you have established an account with a Vendor, please complete the "Salary Reduction Agreement" form indicating how much you would like to contribute.  After that, please return it to your payroll or benefits department and they will take care of the rest.

If you need to contact us, please reach out to Hollee at HolleeV@nbsbenefits.com

  • National Benefit Services, LLC 457(b)

We are pleased to announce the 457(b) Retirement Plan as an added benefit to our employees.  The 457(b) Retirement Plan acts very similar to a 401(k) Plan and provides several benefits, including:

    - Loans or Unforeseeable Emergency withdrawals can be taken from the account if certain circumstances are met.  This will slow the path to retirement but can provide financial relief in a time of need.
