  • Last year TVUSD students attended the AP Readiness program at UCR in order to receive supplemental, supportive instruction in their respective AP/IB courses.  The intent of the workshops is to provide instructional support to AP and IB students in the following courses:

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Statistics, Computer Science Principles

English Language, English Literature, US History, World History, and Human Geography.

The workshops run one Saturday each month leading up to the AP exams.  They are all different, and they are organized to match the curricular development in each subject.

A student may go to just one, a few, or all eight workshops.  A student who
attends all of them would receive 32 additional instructional support hours -
    FREE OF CHARGE.

THE NEXT AP READINESS WORKSHOP IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2019.

The district provides busing for students, although students can also just show up to UCR.  The process is:

    1. Student must register for workshop.  Here is the link:  AP Readiness Registration  Once a student registers for the first one, he/she doesn't need to register again this year. YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT THE QR CODE YOU RECEIVE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. It helps streamline the check in process at UCR.

    2. If student wishes to ride the bus, he/she must download the field trip permission slip, fill it out, and return it to Mrs. Gandy in the Counseling department. Students may also get themselves to UCR as long as they arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. They must be picked up at 2:00 p.m.

PERMISSION SLIPS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23rd BY 3:00PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED DUE TO LIMITED BUS SEATING. PLEASE REGISTER ASAP TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY. UCR DOES CLOSE THE REGISTRATION LINK AS THE DATE OF THE WORKSHOPS GET CLOSER.
