Good morning all,
I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. We need to set some basic understandings about expectations for distance learning. Some things I need you to know at the beginning, middle, and end of this: none of us signed up for online courses, yet here we are. We will make the best of things and get you through the course, all the while supporting one another and building a class community that is supportive and understanding. Do I want you to get the class material? Of course. Is the academic component my most pressing concern? Absolutely not. You and your well-being are. My goals are to support you in these new and trying times.Let's discuss how the class will be run for the foreseeable future. We will be using the textbook "Senderos". This was the first book we piloted, and it should be easy to access through Clever. Most assignments will be taken from "Senderos" (again, accessed through Clever). Assignments will be submitted through Google Classroom, and I will be posting assignment due dates in the coming week. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE DEADLINES ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM. It is your responsibility to make sure you turn in your material on time for me to grade.
Respectfully,
Mr. Loya
