• Tri M is a Music Honor Society that is offered for middle school and high school students. It is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). It is designed to recognize students for their academic achievements and to provide leadership and service opportunities to young musicians. This organization is run by the students, but supervised by a music teacher. I will be the advisor for the 2018-2019 school year. 

    Tri-M will be meeting from 8:15-9am the first Monday of each month. 

    To be eligible to be a part of Tri M students must meet the following criteria:

    3.5 GPA 

    Good or Outstanding Citizenship in All Classes

    Recommendation by their Music Teacher

    A in Band or Orchestra class

    PRESIDENT

    • Presides at chapter meetings
    • Develops an agenda for meetings
    • Represents the chapter on and off campus
    • Facilitates formation of chapter goals

    VICE PRESIDENT

    • Assists President at chapter meetings
    • Schedules guest speakers with assistance from other chapter officers
    • Educates new members on history of Tri-M®

    SECRETARY

    • Records the chapter minutes
    • Handles correspondence for the chapter, including thank you letters 
    • Keeps record of chapter activities
    • Shares performances and fundraisers with the community
    • Publicizes meetings and other activities
