Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Gary Gelinas
I have been a science teacher at TVHS over 30 years. I grew up in Connecticut until age 11, then moved with my family to the San Diego area. I attended Mt. Carmel High School for my freshmen and sophomore years and San Pasqual High School for my junior and senior years. I went to Palomar Community College to get my general education and lower division college classes done... for only $50 a semester (can you believe that!). I transferred to San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) to earn my Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Credential. Later in my career, I earned my Masters Degree at Azuza Pacific University. My wife is also a teacher in the Temecula Valley Unified School District. My wife and I have two daughters; both are graduates of TVHS and are currently in college now. My interests include playing (mainly golf now) and watching sports (Favorite teams: Boston Celtics, San Diego, ooops, Los Angeles Chargers), occasionally playing the guitar (average ability at best) and doing things with family. Reading interests include science, philosophy and theology.
