My name is Peter McKee and I am both honored and humbled to serve as the Principal of Gardner Middle School. I am very excited for this school year to meet each of you, and to continue to build and develop the culture and traditions of Gardner Middle School. This school year is off to a great start and we are excited for that to continue.
I can tell you that the reputation each of you has helped build at Gardner stretches for miles. I have heard so many wonderful and positive things about Gardner, and I am thrilled to be part of such a great community.
I was raised in Carlsbad, graduated from San Diego State and began my career in education immediately. After a short stint as a substitute, I spent thirteen years in the classroom teaching math and science and the next sixteen years in administration, the majority of which was spent in Poway.
This year will be my 32nd year in education. I have been involved in both high school and middle school in those years. Additionally, I have spent many years coaching both football and baseball in high school, as well as a couple of years coaching baseball at the collegiate level.
I look forward to hearing the ROAR of our Grizzly students as they achieve success in the classroom and around campus. It’s a Great Day to be a Grizzly!
