A message to students:

Welcome to 6th Grade Math & Science!  I hope you are excited about the next three years in middle school! I hope you are even more excited about learning many new concepts in math & science. My biggest advice to each of you is to WORK HARD.  Your hard work will never be wasted but instead, will pave the way to great success! 

A message to parents/families:

Welcome to 6th Grade Math & Science!  This year, your child will encounter challenging yet fun learning experiences in both 6th grade math and science.  This transitional year from elementary school to middle school is exciting, and I look forward to standing alongside your child as they progress through this memorable year. 

Open communication between home and school increases the chance of your child succeeding, so please reach me via email with any comments or questions.  Our partnership in your child's educational pathway is key to not only their mindset, but also their overall progress. 

About Mrs. Fontes:

I graduated and earned my teaching credential from SDSU. Go Aztecs! This will be my 18th year teaching at TVUSD. Previous to joining GMS in 2013, I taught 3rd and 5th grade at AES. I also taught 4th grade at TES. I am also a mom of two amazing boys who attend TVUSD. My husband coaches soccer and mountain biking in the valley when he isn't doing his "day" job. As you can see, our family is invested in our beautiful hometown of Temecula.
