Hello! My name is Ms. Jaclyn Dolen. This is my third year at Bella Vista Middle School. Prior to coming to BVMS, I taught biology at Sage Creek High School in Carlsbad, California. I graduated from Whittier College with my BA in biology in 2007.  After graduation, I worked as a environmental laboratory technician for two years where I tested water and soil samples for various analytes.  Afterward, I spent five years working as a clinical research coordinator in Santa Ana, California.  I have experience with phlebotomy, EKGs, lab processing, and collecting medical histories and concominant medications.  My experience as a lab tech and CRC has provided me real world science experience that I share with my students.  My goal is to get students excited about learning science.  I believe in providing my students with hands-on activities and projects that develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills.  I am very excited to be teaching middle school life science!
