Mrs. Kari Reynolds

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited about being your child's teacher this year. My name is Kari Reynolds and I am proud to say this is my 38th year teaching, in the Temecula Valley Unified School District. I have been here at Paloma since it opened in 1995 and many of those years have been teaching kindergarten. What I love most about kindergarteners is their curiosity and excitement about learning and the educational growth that takes place.

A little about me.... I attended UCLA and Cal State Fullerton where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication. I then continued my education and received my teaching credential from University of Irvine. Many years later, I got my Masters of Science Degree with an emphasis in Reading at Walden University. I live in the area and have been married to my husband, Michael, for 37 years. We have raised 4 beautiful children. Our oldest daughter, Karisa, is working with children as an occupational COTA. She is now married to Bryce, a Corona firefighter and they just had our second grandchild. Our son, Garrett, has a degree in biology and chemistry and is getting ready for a career change. Our middle daughter, Michaela, is a second grade teacher in North Carolina. Our youngest daughter, Kilee, is  hoping to become a vet one day. Our last family member is our dog Boomer, plus many granddogs, a cat and a horse.

When I am not teaching, I love going to the beach, reading, cooking, hiking, gardening, going to the spa, spending time at our pool, traveling and being with family and friends. It is a joy being a grandparent, finally, and spending time with my grandchildren Logan and Brody.

I am looking forward to an amazing year working with you and your child. I believe part of my job as a kindergarten teacher is to help my kiddos become life-long learners and develop a love for school. Paloma is a great school and I love teaching the littles. Thank you for sharing your child with me this year and being a part of this journey.
