Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Deborah Slojkowski
This is my 18th year of teaching and I'm super excited to be in Room 22 and teaching 3rd grade this year! I began my teaching career in San Diego where I taught middle school language arts and social studies for 3 years. I cam to Temecula in 2004 and taught 4th grade at Jackson Elementary for 2 years. I then moved to Barnett where I have been teaching ever since in both 2nd and 3rd grades. I received my Bachelor's Degree in psychology from UCSD and my teaching credential from San Diego State University.. I also received my Masters Degree in Teaching, with a focus in educational technology. I am looking forward to helping you and your child make this year a great experience!
I live in Temecula with my husband and 2 sons,. who are both in middle school. I enjoy traveling, reading a good book, and hanging out with my family, including our dog, Jack.
My goals are to build a community of excited learners who respect each other, learn to think independently, strive to reach their fullest potential, and love to learn in a positive and safe environment. I believe that all children are unqiue and have different qualities to contribute to the success of our year. I am positive that this year will be both fun and challenging for your child. With your help, we will make your child's second/third grade experience a success! I welcome any comments, questions, or suggestions, so please feel free to contact me.
