Dear Famiies,

        I am so proud of every student/parent in our classroom family! All of you worked have been working very hard last as we begin our new "Distance Learning" classroom. Mrs. Sher and I were learning right along with you. The google hangouts are my favorite time of the day. One of the things we learned was how to make our google hangout meetings more private. When you click on the hangout assignment, you will be asked to enter a code. Our classroom code will always be: Room21. I will always have this code posted on our classroom stream. We will meet on Monday-Thursday mornings from 9:30-9:50. Please join us as often as you can. My "office hours" are 9:50-11:00am to answer questions and check student work. In addition to that, I will be checking student work, emails, and articulating with my grade level team and the ARES staff throughout the day.

     Please keep in mind that we are providing several different learning opportunities for your child. The daily recommendation is 20 minutes of Reading, 20 minutes of Writing, and 20 minutes of Math. P.E. should be done a few days a week, and V.A.P.A. once a week.  Our class loves Math, but please make sure that your child is doing some Reading and Writing, too!  If the activities we are assigning are taking your child longer than 20 minutes, then please pick and choose from each topic (Math, Reading, and Writing.)  In other words, don't spend 40 minutes on Math and 0 minutes on Writing. Of course, your child can do all of the work if he or she would like to.  We also have an Extension Activities topic in the Google Classroom with resources attached and a Reference Topic to use for assignments if necessary. We will continue to add to these topics.

     I appreciate your patience and persistence as we move forward. I value each of you and miss being in our classroom together.
