Here we go, once again beginning a new year at Chaparral High School : )

I am excited to welcome you back to school, back to our classroom, and back to everything Chaparral has to offer you. This first semester back it is important that you feel safe, comfortable, and secure. I will also challenge you to take the chance, give yourself the possibility to ask questions, talk to peers, teachers, communication will be key to success! I know you've heard the saying "we are all in this together"; please remember that. We need to be able to count on each other and support each other.  

While we may be coming back to school, Canvas is still a tool and valuable resource we will continue to use. Canvas will be updated with not only current assignments but also, announcements, projects, assessments, and quizzes. Most importantly, if you are absent students are encouraged to check Canvas and inform themselves of what they have missed or "upcoming need to know's".

Remember students to succeed in English Language Arts 10 you must advocate for yourself and let me know of any struggles impeding your learning and progress in my class. It will be your responsibility to obtain CAT 30 pass for intervention, to ask for make-up assignments, and communicate your concerns.
