My name is Kate Kennedy and I teach kindergarten at Vail Elementary School. I have been teaching for 23 years, 17 of them in kindergarten!

I believe that every child has the potential to learn and be successful. Our classroom is a place where children are nurtured as individuals and encouraged to explore and discover. Our classroom also provides children with experiences in collaborative learning, where they learn to work together and acquire the social skills that will enable them to be productive people in the larger world beyond school.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy crafting, reading, and playing with our three cats, Pip, Pan, and Penelope. They are quite the characters, and continually keep us laughing.
