WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for the students and to enhance school security.
Who are Watch D.O.G.S.? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day each year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the Watch D.O.G.S. coordinator.
WATCH D.O.G.S. Involvement includes:
- Campus safety patrol
- Mentoring of students
- Supervising lunch and school wide activities
- Tutoring in classrooms (by teacher request)
- Classroom presentation (relating to field of expertise; by teacher request
- Chaperoning at school events (CAPS CSU San Marcos field trip, dances, Knotts Berry Farm, etc.)
Give an hour, half a day, or an entire day to your child's school. It will make a difference to your child and the countless others you come into contact with. Do contact us if you have questions about how to get involved as a Watch D.O.G.

Interested individuals need to submit the items below for consideration to become a Watch D.O.G.
After the following items have been submitted to Linda Mena (Registrar), a Signup link will be emailed to you so that you can begin selecting your volunteer slots at Margarita Middle School.
