Temecula Valley Council of PTAs: Who We Are

About Us

The Temecula Valley Council of Parent Teacher Associations (TVC PTA), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, represents nearly 10,000 PTA members within the Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD).  TVC PTA was chartered on June 8, 1989, and serves the needs of its twenty-four PTA/PTSA school-site Units.  We are one of eight Councils in the 23rd District PTA of Riverside County, California.

The executive board of the Temecula Valley Council of PTAs is comprised entirely of VOLUNTEERS dedicated to serving the needs of all TVUSD students, families, and school communities; as well as promoting the mission and vision of PTA.  Each board member also represents one or more local Temecula unit PTA or PTSA.  Many of our council executive board members also serve on the boards of other, local educational and philanthropic organizations including, but not limited to, the Temecula Education Foundation, Temecula Dollars for Scholars (formerly Citizens' Scholarship Foundation), Assistance League of Temecula Valley, and Friends of the Temecula Libraries.

Together, with support from the California State PTA and the 23rd District PTA, we represent the oldest and strongest child advocacy group in the nation, the National PTA.  The PTA is a noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpartisan organization. These basic policies must be part of every PTA's bylaws.
