Safe & Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco Free Schools Overview

The Temecula Valley Unified School District provides drug, alcohol, tobacco prevention education with funding from both state and federal funds.  Tobacco Use Prevention Education, TUPE,  and Title IV, the Safe and Drug Free Schools entitlement are the basis of this funding.  In addition, safety and violence on campus is addressed through funding from AB1113, Carl Washington Safety and Violence Prevention block grant.

Parent involvement is an important element in the implementation of programs and strategies used by the district for substance abuse prevention and violence prevention.  If you are interested in participating in a Safe and Drug Free Schools Parent Advisory, please contact the Special Programs office at 506-7988.
