  • Effective January 1, 2017 The existing HSA-A group numbers are now identified as single or family.  If there are members who are two party or family on the group number identified as single they were moved effective Jan 1, 2017 to the new group number identified as family.  These subscribers will be receiving new Anthem ID cards with their new group number by the end of December 2016.
  • Effective January 1, 2017 In order to remain IRS compliant, MD Live visits will be subject to deductible on the HSA-A and HSA-B plans effective January 1st, 2017. The full cost of the visit is $40. This change does not affect any other SISC plans.

Beginning in October 2015, some members were experiencing difficulty accessing there acu/chiro benefit.
  • Effective October 1, 2015 Anthem will not process medical claims for dependents unless the member responds to the yearly questionnaire regarding other coverage that may be in place for their dependents. Click here for more information and to see a sample of the questionnaire.
  • Effective October 1, 2015 there will be some changes to coverage for insulin and diabetic test strips. Please click here for more information.
  • Effective October 1, 2015 Hip, Knee and Spine Inpatient Surgical Benefit Change:  Blue Distinction Specialty Care program will be implemented for inpatient Hip and Knee replacement procedures and inpatient Spine procedures. There will be NO out-of-network benefit for these inpatient procedures. Members considering these types of procedures must contact member services at the phone number on their ID card to obtain information regarding in-network facilities for the procedure requested.
  • Effective July 1, 2015 - There will be changes to coverage for certain drugs. Please click here for more information.
  • Effective July 1, 2015 Medical Plan Claims Process Change for Members Covered by Other Plans: There will be a procedural change on claims processing for members who have/may have coverage through another medical plan. Members who have medical coverage under more than 1 plan need to provide their medical plan member services with updated information on secondary coverage. When letters are sent requesting information on secondary coverage, a response is required. Failure to respond can cause a delay or denial in claims processing and payment.
  • Effective May 1, 2015 - Medications in the category of Inhaled Nasal Steroids will no longer be covered by the prescription benefit. Please click here for more details.
