Intradistrict Transfers:

TVUSD’s Open Enrollment policy allows parents who live within the District’s boundaries to choose their child’s school of attendance by submitting an Intradistrict transfer request. Space availability is the major determining factor for approval.
 

Revised School Attendance Boundaries:

On Tuesday, March 18, 2014 the Governing Board took action to revise attendance boundaries throughout the school district.  These changes were necessary to balance enrollment at certain school sites, and to create school feeder patterns that allow students to stay with the same social groups as they promote from one school level to another. 

The deadline to request a Boundary Related Intra District Transfer was Friday, April 11, 2014. If you missed this deadline, you may still request a Transfer Request form to have your child stay at their current school by emailing Transfers@tvusd.k12.ca.usFailure to complete and be awarded an Intradistrict Transfer through this process will result in your child being enrolled in his/her new home school, as determined by the revised boundaries, for the 2014/2015 school year. 

 
 

Intradistrict Transfer Requests - For Students NOT Impacted by the Newly Revised Attendance Boundaries

Intradistrict Transfer requests received after December 20, 2013 will be reviewed for consideration beginning June 9, 2014. Every effort will be made to provide you with notice of approval or denial prior to the first day of school.

However, decisions to approve or deny transfers received outside the open enrollment period may not be made until after the beginning of the school year. Please use the link below to submit a NEW non-boundary related transfer request.

Open - Impacted Students Only

Special Open Enrollment Period: Only For Students Impacted by the Newly Revised Attendance Boundaries

All transfer requests received during the Special Open Enrollment Period receive equal consideration regardless of date received

April 11, 2014 - Closing date for transfer priority consideration. Failure to complete and be awarded a transfer through this process will result in your child being enrolled in their new home school for the 2014/2015 school year.

Intradistrict Transfer requests received after this date will be reviewed for consideration beginning June 9, 2014. Every effort will be made to provide you with notice of approval or denial prior to the first day of school.

However, decisions to approve or deny transfers received outside the open enrollment period may not be made until after the beginning of the school year.

   

By May 2, 2014

Parents who submitted an Intradistric Transfer Request during the March 19th - April 11th Open Enrollment period will be notified by mail of their transfer status. 

Processing transfer requests in a timely manner is very important to us. Please assist our office in doing so by refraining from contacting us to check on the status of your transfer, as this delays our ability to process and mail notices. 

Renewal transfers will not receive any notification unless the transfer is not going to be renewed due to space limitations.

Open Enrollment Period: New Intradistrict Transfers to be considered for the 2014/15 school year.

All transfer requests received during the open enrollment period receive equal consideration regardless of date received. A lottery will be held if the number of transfers exceeds the number of spaces available at the school of choice.

December 20, 2013 - Closing date for transfer priority consideration.

Intradistrict Transfer requests received after this date will be reviewed for consideration beginning June 9, 2014. Every effort will be made to provide you with notice of approval or denial prior to the first day of school.
