Grandfathered Status

As part of the district's 2013/14 Boundary Change, enrolled students living within the district's boundary who applied and were approved for a boundary-related transfer were granted Grandfathered status to the corresponding school(s) before the change took place.

Grandfathering was based on the affected residence address and student grade level, NOT on the length of time at a school or schools:

Grade in 2013/14

Grandfathered to:

Middle & high schools before the change

Middle school before the change, only

Kinder – 4th

Elementary school before the change, only

A Grandfathered status continues to be valid as long as the conditions outlined in the Grandfathered letter that parents/guardians were sent continue in place.  These are:

                      i.   The student’s residence continues to be the

                           Grandfathered address

ii.  The student is continuously enrolled

iii. The student has satisfactory attendance and behavior

You do NOT need to submit a new transfer request to the same school(s), as long as these conditions continue to be met.
