California Health Kids Survey

The California Healthy Kids Survey is a comprehensive and customizable self-report data collection system that provides essential and reliable health risk assessment and resilience information to schools, districts, and communities.

This survey has been conducted in the Temecula Valley USD every other year beginning in 2001. Our district administers the survey to all 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade students whose parents have granted permission to survey their child.

The survey is a powerful tool that can help schools and districts meet all of the new assessment requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for Title IV Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities.

It is designed to be part of a comprehensive data-driven decision making process to help guide the development of more effective health, prevention, and youth development programs.

Comparison data for 2005-2007 on key performance indicators has been complied for 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade students
