Assistance League of Temecula Valley - Operation School Bell

PLEASE NOTE - As of Thursday, October 5, 12:25 p.m., all shopping events have reached capacity and the applications are now closed.

Welcome to Operation School Bell!  Operated by Assistance League of Temecula Valley.  We provide new school clothing to qualified K-12 students enrolled in the Temecula Valley Unified School District.  

 

A completed form is required for each student. This program is funded by a Federal grant, and we are required to collect certain information for reporting purposes.  This information is confidential and will be used to compile statistical data only.  Forms with missing information will not be processed.  

 

 

STEP 1 - Review the Criteria and Items Needed For Shopping EVENT - Document Copies You Will Have to Provide

 

You will need to bring proof of family yearly income to the selected shopping event.  Your verification documents may include 1 or more of the items listed below.  Please be prepared to bring COPIES only; we cannot accept original documents.    

  1. Most Recent Year Tax Return/1040 Form (preferred source - first income page only)
  2. Current Year W-2 for each family member contributing to the yearly income
  3. Most Recent Paycheck Stubs/Payroll Statement showing year to date gross (before taxes) Income
  4. County, State, Federal Assistance Documents, such as "Passport to Services," "Cash Aid," "Notice of Action," or other Government Assistance. 
  5. Letter from employer stating income amount
  6. Other Sources you may have, such as Church or other Community Organization that may be assisting you and your family.
  7. Income Verification Form if zero income. To fill out at shopping event. 

STEP 2 - Total Yearly Family Income Verification Eligibility Confirmation

 

BEFORE YOU PROCEED with your online application you will need to confirm that, based on the income chart below, your Total Yearly Family Income from all sources qualifies you to participate in the shopping event.  (Family income means all persons living in the same household who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption and are benefiting from the activities and contribute to Total Family Yearly Income)  Food Stamps/Cal Fresh is not added to your Total Yearly Family Income, is not considered an income source.   Please review the chart below.  If you meet the income eligibility requirements, please proceed with the online application in Step 3.  

STEP 3 - Shopping Event Instructions And Submitting Your Online Application

  • A Parent or guardian must accompany the student to the SHOPPING event.  
     
  • High School students will need to bring student body card or picture identification. 
     
  • Your student will not be allowed to participate in the shopping event without the parent or guardian providing proof of income on the designated shopping date as listed in Step 1.  There will be no make-up schedule if your student misses the appointment.

PLEASE SELECT ONE SHOPPING DATE BELOW AND YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO THE ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM FOR THAT DATE.  DO NOT SELECT MORE THAN ONE SHOPPING DATE FOR THE SAME CHILD.  TO KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER FOR THE SHOPPING EVENTS, WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR FIRST FORM ONLINE, YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO A LINK TO SUBMIT FOR ANOTHER CHILD ON THE SAME SHOPPING DATE.

Each qualified student may purchase up to $125.00 of school appropriate clothing, which includes shoes, socks, underwear, jackets, sweaters, shirts, tops, jeans or pants, shorts, dresses, and skirts.

 

Please NOTE:  Shopping events are first-come, first served.  Assistance League of Temecula Valley reserves a select number of spots per event.  When the shopping event date reaches capacity, it will be closed.
